World Rabies Day- Act Now: You, Me, Community

World Rabies Day — 28 September 2025
Theme: Act Now: You, Me, Community
Rabies is a deadly virus that, once symptoms appear, is almost always fatal — yet it is 100% preventable. In 2025, the call is simple but powerful: you, me, and our community must each take action to end dog-mediated rabies.
What this means:
You — Make responsible choices: vaccinate your dog, learn how to respond to bites, seek medical advice quickly when exposed.
Me — Lead by example: raise awareness among family, friends, neighbors; volunteer; support local health or veterinary campaigns.
Community — Work together: organize mass dog-vaccination drives, school education programs, advocate for public health policies and resources.
Let us join hands — as individuals, as neighbors, as communities — to protect lives, especially in places where rabies remains a threat. When we act now, we move closer to a world where no one dies from a dog bite.
